We ask for a lot of information about you – some of which is quite personal like your age and income. We need this information to target the correct people to participate in specific research.
The information is held in our secure database on a dedicated server. Our agency clients will not have any information about you other than your name, unless there is a specific reason. In which case you will be informed at the point of recruitment and will therefore have the choice to give your consent or not.
We will never sell or pass on your personal details to any other company, your details will never be used to promote products or services.

What is a focus group?
Focus group are designed to give organisations feedback about their products or services. To do that they need a collection of people who reflect their target market. The group; members or ‘respondents’, are introduced to the products or services by a ‘moderator’ who guides the session. The moderators’ job is to make everyone relaxed so that people can explore their thoughts and voice their opinions.
Where will it take place?
Focus groups have changed a lot since the pandemic. Now more often than not sessions will take place on zoom or a similar platform. This means that most projects welcome participants from anywhere in the UK.
You will need a working desktop/laptop...you cannot use a mobile, if you try, it is likely that you will not be allowed to join the meeting.
You must be in a quiet uninterrupted place for the duration of the meeting-remember you are being paid to take part.
Check your tech- make sure your microphone and camera work, and as you need a link to join the meeting, check that you have received it, we need 24 hrs to arrange a resend, don't leave it until the last minute.
Finally, join the meeting at least 10 mins before start time, that way if you encounter tech difficulties there is a little wriggle room to sort it out.
If you miss the start time, you will not be able to join, and you will not get paid.
How and when do I get Paid?
Any f2f projects pay you by bacs or paypal 48 hrs after completion, online research is paid by bacs or Paypal, you will be asked to provide your details, most incentives are paid within 48 hrs of the research taking place.
What happens if I can't make it?
You need let us know 24 hours in advance if you can’t make it. This gives us the opportunity to find fill your place. It is critical that we keep the numbers correct, so if anyone does not attend and has not given us notice, we will not be able to invite them to any future sessions.
